GU-24 Now Available
The GU24 Socket and base system is designed to replace the Edison socket in energy efficient lighting fixtures.
The ENERGY STAR program requires that residential lighting fixtures cannot use standard Edison screw in bulbs. The same standards are included in the California title 24 that applies to residential and non residential buildings.
The Socket has two dual diameter pins , the bulb will twist and lock and
does not allow an Edison bulb to be used.
The bulb is self ballasting and does not require a external ballast , it is much smaller and will fit decorative lighting with out compromising design
For exterior dry applications only, 13w, 18w, and 26w are available
Less heat produced allows the use of higher wattages
This system is one means of reducing energy consumption and the generation of greenhouse gasses that contribute to global warming
This system is available in all of our interior lighting fixtures at no additional charge
